Every party quiz asks you about capital cities. This one asks about the people standing in the room: who said it, who would never, whose baby photo is that.

One screen becomes the stage - a tv, a laptop, anything everyone can see. Everyone else scans the ticket on it and their phone turns into a buzzer. You pick the game and write it beforehand, then run the whole night from your own phone, so the right answers never land on the big screen.

There are two games so far. Trivia, where you write the questions and the answers. And most likely to, where you write the prompts and the room votes on who fits - that one takes about a minute to set up, because a button fills it from a library and you edit whatever you like.

It is built and it is live: you can run a night on it end to end today. It still says beta because it has not survived a real party yet, and it is still being added to week by week, so expect the odd rough edge and a new game or two.

before anyone arrives: pick your game and write it on whatever is in your hand - that device runs the show
put the screen up where everyone can see it, and the join code lands on it
everyone scans to join, and you start the party when the room is in
